Training Resources

This is where we’ll review dog-training courses, books and gear. Nothing is listed here yet, and that’s deliberate: we only recommend a resource after we’ve examined it against the standards below.

How we review training courses and products

Before we recommend anything, it has to pass all of these checks:

  1. Humane methods only. The course or product must use reward-based training. Anything built around shock, prong or choke collars, intimidation or physical correction is excluded.
  2. Verifiable expertise. If a course claims its author is a certified trainer or behavior professional, we check that the credential exists and is current.
  3. Honest promises. We exclude products that guarantee results in a fixed number of days, claim to “cure” aggression or anxiety, or use invented urgency.
  4. Clear pricing and refunds. The price, any upsells or subscriptions, and the refund policy must be easy to find before you pay.
  5. We look inside. We review the actual course content or product, not just the sales page, and say what we examined and what we didn’t.
  6. Who it suits, and who it doesn’t. Every review explains which dogs and owners will get the most out of it, its limits, and free alternatives.

When a review contains affiliate links, it will say so at the top. Commission never changes our verdict, and a product that pays well but fails the checks above won’t appear here. Read our full Affiliate Disclosure.
