Dog Advisor Pro is an independent website, operated by Web Promote Pro, LLC in West Virginia, that helps everyday dog owners understand and solve common training and behavior problems using humane, reward-based methods.
Who this site is for
We write for ordinary owners: people with a new puppy who won’t stop biting, a dog who barks at every delivery, or a walk that feels like waterskiing. You don’t need any training background. Our guides assume you have a busy life and want plans that fit into a few minutes a day.
Our editorial standards
- Reward-based only. We recommend training methods consistent with the AVSAB position statement on humane dog training. We don’t recommend shock, prong or choke collars or physical punishment.
- Sources you can check. Where we rely on research or professional guidance, we link to it so you can read it yourself.
- No invented expertise. We won’t claim credentials, personal experiences, case studies or testimonials that aren’t real. If a guide draws on a qualified professional’s input, we’ll name them and their qualification.
- Clear limits. Articles are educational, not a substitute for your veterinarian or an in-person assessment. For aggression, severe anxiety and sudden behavior changes, we’ll always point you toward professional help.
- Kept up to date. Each guide shows when it was last updated, and we revise content when guidance changes or readers point out problems.
How we create content
We want you to know exactly how our guides are made:
- Research. We start from what dog owners are actually searching for and asking, then gather guidance from veterinary and animal-behavior sources such as the AVSAB, the ASPCA, humane societies and peer-reviewed research.
- AI-assisted drafting. We use AI tools to help research and draft articles. The tools work from the sources we’ve gathered, and every source cited in an article is linked so you can check it.
- Source checking. Before an article is put forward for review, its factual claims are checked against the linked sources, and claims we can’t support are removed or reworded.
- Human review. A person at Web Promote Pro, LLC reads and approves every article before it is published. Each article ends with a note saying how it was made and when it was reviewed. We don’t currently have a veterinarian or certified trainer reviewing content. If that changes, we’ll name the reviewer and their qualifications on the article.
We don’t invent authors, credentials, personal anecdotes, product testing or testimonials. When we review a product, we’ll say exactly what we examined and how.
How we make money
The site is free to read. We may earn commissions when readers buy training courses or products through affiliate links in our reviews, and we may offer an optional email newsletter. Affiliate links are always disclosed, and commission doesn’t affect what we recommend. See our Affiliate Disclosure and the review criteria on our Training Resources page.
